CID Uncovers Ritual Murder Site in Central Tongu; Five Bodies Including Child Exhumed at Gblorkope

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have uncovered a suspected ritual human sacrifice site at Gblorkope, a remote community in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region. The chilling discovery follows months of investigations into the disappearance of 28-year-old Nelson Anyinaa last year.

The breakthrough came after three suspects in custody identified as Noah Gblor, John Gblor, and Yohannes Gblor led authorities to the secret burial site as part of ongoing investigations. The trio had been arrested earlier in connection with the case but had remained tight-lipped until recent developments.

Upon arriving at the site, CID personnel exhumed the remains of Nelson Anyinaa. A further search of the area led to the shocking discovery of four additional bodies, including that of a child, buried in shallow graves nearby raising fears of a wider ritual killing operation.

The bodies have since been deposited with authorities for forensic examination and efforts are underway to identify the remaining victims. The suspects remain in police custody and are expected to face additional charges in light of the new findings.

“The discovery is deeply disturbing,” a CID official said. “This case goes beyond a single missing person it points to something far more sinister. We are committed to getting to the bottom of it.”

The revelation has thrown the Gblorkope community into shock, with residents grappling with fear and disbelief. Security in the area has been heightened as the investigation continues.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in what is shaping up to be one of the most disturbing criminal cases in the region’s recent history.
