"Wrong Copy" Campus TV Series Set to Shake Perceptions About Performing Arts

Get ready for drama, laughter, tears, and a whole lot of reality as “Wrong Copy” a sizzling new campus TV series hits your screens this July.

Set on the vibrant campus of the University of Ghana, this first season of the show dives deep into the misunderstood world of the School of Performing Arts, aiming to rewrite the script on how society sees students who pursue careers in the arts.

Produced by Royal Bee Film Production in collaboration with The School of Performing Arts, the series stars Kumawood legend Bill Asamoah and his on-screen wife, who are on a mission to stop their daughter from "wasting" their future on a Fine Arts degree. Why? Because their neighbors’ kids are studying Law and Medicine and well, isn’t that what “serious children” do?

But here’s the twist: the real “Wrong Copy” might not be the child’s passion, it might just be the parents’ outdated mindset. 

Directed by the ever-creative Maxmore A. Bakore and produced by Kwabena Amoakoh (Tinto), the show peels back the curtain on what really happens in the world of Performing Arts. Spoiler alert: it’s not just about dancing and singing in costumes. From film production, theatre management, and directing, to cultural studies and scriptwriting, this series proves that the arts are as powerful and professional as any other discipline.
