St. Ebenezer New Life Academy has celebrated its 13th Anniversary under the theme “Training Children Through Godly Christian Education” at the Ojobi Durbar Grounds. The colorful ceremony, which brought together parents, teachers, students, alumni, and community leaders, highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing future leaders through moral discipline and quality education.
The event was graced by Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, a former Parliamentary Aspirant for the Gomoa East Constituency, who served as the Special Guest of Honor. Delivering his keynote address, Dr. Mensah commended the school’s management for their dedication to shaping children both academically and spiritually.
“In today’s world, where moral values are constantly challenged, schools like St. Ebenezer New Life Academy are a beacon of hope. Education must not only sharpen the mind but also transform the heart,” he said.
He advised parents to take an active role in their children’s education, stressing that learning does not end in the classroom.
“Parents must not delegate their full responsibility to teachers. The home is the first classroom, and children learn more by example. Let us train them with love, discipline, and respect for God,” he urged.
Speaking directly to teachers, Dr. Mensah reminded them of the noble duty they hold in society.
“Teaching is a calling, not just a profession. You are shaping destinies and raising leaders for tomorrow. Be patient, be dedicated, and see your work as a ministry that goes beyond salary and recognition.”
To the students, he encouraged them to take their studies seriously while upholding Christian values.
“Do not despise small beginnings. Every great leader once sat in a classroom like you. Discipline, respect, and hard work will take you far. Combine knowledge with godliness, and your future will be bright,” he advised.
The anniversary celebration featured musical performances, choreography, poetry recitals, and a thanksgiving service. Awards were also presented to outstanding students and staff for their contributions to the school’s growth.
In closing, the Head of the School expressed gratitude to Dr. Mensah and all attendees, reaffirming the Academy’s vision of raising disciplined, God-fearing, and academically excellent children for both the community and the nation.
