“Gomoa East DCE Margret Naana Ackom Lauds National Youth Conference, Urges Youth to Stay Focused”

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East, Hon. Margret Naana Ackom, has commended the organizers and dignitaries of the 2025 National Youth Conference for their efforts in empowering young people across the country.

Speaking at the Pentecost Convention Centre in Gomoa Fetteh, where the two-day event was held from September 4th to 5th, Hon. Ackom expressed profound gratitude to the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah; the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare-Addo; the Acting CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Abdulai Ayariga; and other dignitaries for their commitment to youth development.

She described the theme of the conference, “Igniting Potential, Inspiring Change,” as a call to action for the youth to rise above limitations, discover their strengths, and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s growth.

“This program is not only about motivation but also about creating a platform for the youth to learn, network, and prepare themselves for leadership and national service. I am proud that Gomoa East had the honor of hosting such a significant event,” she said.

Hon. Ackom further urged the youth of Gomoa East and Ghana at large to take advantage of the opportunities created through national programs. She emphasized that young people must commit to education, innovation, and discipline if they are to shape a brighter future for themselves and the nation.

“The future of our communities and the entire nation lies in the hands of the youth. We must encourage them to focus on their education, pursue entrepreneurship, and actively participate in national development. With determination and faith, they can overcome every challenge,” she added.

She also reaffirmed the Gomoa East District Assembly’s readiness to partner with both government and private institutions to implement youth-centered projects that would create jobs and opportunities for young people.
