In a vibrant celebration of Pink October, the Royal Sparkle Network, led by Esther Kemi Odewale, joined forces with Jasper Women’s Health Organization to host The Pink Conversation: A Seat at the Table  Brunch for Awareness, an event dedicated to promoting women’s health education and proactive wellness practices.

Held in Accra, the initiative provided a unique platform for women from diverse backgrounds to engage in open conversations about physical health, emotional wellbeing, and preventive care, while also benefiting from free breast cancer screenings and counseling.

As the visionary behind the outreach, Esther Kemi Odewale designed the event to bridge the gap between awareness and action.

“When women come together to talk about their health, we don’t just create awareness , we create transformation,” Odewale said. “The Pink Conversation is about empowering women to be intentional about their wellbeing  physically, mentally, and emotionally.”

The brunch-style event blended health education with community bonding, featuring interactive sessions on self-examination, mental wellness, nutrition, and self-care. The engaging discussions and presentations created an atmosphere of openness and sisterhood, allowing participants to share experiences and learn from health experts.

Jasper Women’s Health Organization served as a key implementation partner, coordinating volunteers, leading community mobilization, and managing event décor and hospitality. Their team of health professionals ensured that participants received practical support beyond just information.

“Partnerships like this bring health equity closer to the women who need it most,” said a Jasper Project Lead. “Our shared goal with Royal Sparkle is to make women’s wellness advocacy continuous  not a one-day event.”

The health screening component underscored the tangible impact of the initiative. Out of 38 registered participants, 25 women underwent free breast examinations, with three referred for further medical review after lumps were detected.

Odewale described the results as a powerful reminder of why sustained awareness efforts are essential.

“Three referrals mean three women who now have the chance to act early,” she noted. “That’s the power of awareness when knowledge leads to life-saving action.”

The brunch session fostered a warm atmosphere of sisterhood, where participants shared stories, enjoyed nutritious meals, and reflected on the importance of self-care. A presentation by a dietitian highlighted the link between nutrition and women’s health, while sessions on emotional resilience inspired participants to prioritize their mental wellbeing.

Guests described the experience as “beautifully educative and emotionally healing.”

The Pink Conversation aligns with Royal Sparkle Network’s broader mission to raise women leaders and changemakers through advocacy, mentorship, and social impact programs.

“Our mission is to empower women with knowledge, compassion, and community,” Odewale affirmed. “When women are healthy and aware, they lead with strength and purpose in their homes, workplaces, and communities.”

The collaboration between Royal Sparkle Network and Jasper Women’s Health Organization serves as a model for how partnerships can turn conversation into care and awareness into action, reinforcing the importance of community-based advocacy in promoting women’s health.
