The Executive Director of Ghana Libyan-Arab Holdings Company Limited (GLAHCO) and Central Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, has unveiled an ambitious vision to drive economic transformation and job creation in Cape Coast.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Environmental and Lifelong Learning (EELL) Conference 2025 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Adams emphasized the urgent need to empower the youth through sustainable employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
His initiative is designed to complement the development agenda of the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South, Hon. George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, and aligns with the Resetting Ghana Agenda championed by former President John Dramani Mahama.
Adams’ vision centers on job creation, innovation, and youth empowerment, key pillars he believes are essential for unlocking the socio-economic potential of Cape Coast.
The initiative will focus on entrepreneurship training, skills development, and strategic partnerships with both private and public sector players to stimulate local industries and reduce unemployment.
“Our young people are our greatest resource,” Adams stated. “By equipping them with the right skills and creating platforms for innovation and entrepreneurship, we can transform Cape Coast into a hub of opportunity and growth.”
Adams’ developmental drive resonates with the Resetting Ghana Agenda, which emphasizes inclusive growth, youth empowerment, and community-driven development under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
His commitment reflects a strategic effort to ensure that Cape Coast benefits from national policies that foster equitable development, particularly in areas of education, employment, and infrastructure.
With a wealth of experience in leadership and project management, Adams is well-positioned to steer initiatives that bring real change to the people of Cape Coast. His plan promises to stimulate the local economy by creating a conducive environment for business, promoting tourism, and attracting investment to the region.
“Our focus is not just on short-term gains but on building a foundation for sustainable development,” Adams noted. “This is about restoring hope, creating opportunities, and empowering our youth to build a future they can be proud of.”
The people of Cape Coast stand to benefit immensely from Adams’ forward-thinking leadership. His initiative represents a beacon of hope — one that promises to turn dialogue into action and aspirations into achievements.
As the NDC’s Central Regional Secretary and a key player in Ghana’s economic landscape, Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams is poised to play a transformative role in reshaping the future of Cape Coast, driving it toward a path of prosperity and inclusion.
