Victoria Atta-Peters (VicPee) Enstooled as Development Queen Mother of Gomoa Essaabakrom

The Gomoa Essaabakrom community has officially welcomed Victoria Atta-Peters, popularly known as VicPee, into its traditional leadership structure as the new Development Queen Mother (Nkosuohemaa). She was outdoored under the stool name Nana Ekua Aponsemah I during a colourful durbar held at the Gomoa Fetteh Chief’s Palace.

The ceremony, attended by chiefs, elders, and community members, saw Nana Ekua Aponsemah formally introduced to the Chief of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Abor Atta II, by the Chief of Gomoa Essaabakrom, Nana Bentum Okyirefo Osekubroni, and his delegation.

In her new role, Nana Ekua Aponsemah I is expected to spearhead development projects and champion initiatives that will empower the youth, promote education, and foster unity within the community.

The elders of Gomoa Fetteh, in welcoming her, offered words of guidance, urging her to be courageous, selfless, and focused on the welfare of the people. They encouraged her to remain a role model, especially to women and young people, and advised her to guard against distractions. One elder remarked, “A Queen Mother must be a pillar of strength. Let your voice be one of wisdom and direction.”

Nana Abor Atta II also commended her appointment, urging her to use her position to inspire positive change. He called on her to lead initiatives that would bring growth, peace, and opportunities to the people of Essabakrom, while invoking divine blessings for her leadership journey.

In her acceptance speech, Nana Ekua Aponsemah I expressed deep gratitude for the honour bestowed on her. She proudly introduced herself as the CEO of VicPee Fashion Decor and pledged to use her professional expertise to train and mentor young people in fashion and other creative fields. She promised to leverage her experience to create economic opportunities and empower the youth.

The ceremony was marked by rich traditional rites, blessings, and an atmosphere of renewed hope for development, as the people of Gomoa Essaabakrom look forward to a reign defined by courage, compassion, and progress.
