Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah Commends National Youth Conference , calls on youth to believe in themselves

Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, former Parliamentary Aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Gomoa East, was among the dignitaries who graced the 2025 National Youth Conference held at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh, from September 4th to 5th.

Speaking in an interview with Best News Multimedia on the sidelines of the event, Dr. Appoh Mensah expressed gratitude to the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah; the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare-Addo; the District Chief Executive for Gomoa East, Hon. Margret Naana Ackom; and the Central Regional Organizer of the NDC, Hon. Mike Derry, for their collective support in making the program a success.

According to him, the National Youth Conference, themed “Igniting Potential, Inspiring Change,” is timely and relevant to the country’s development agenda.

“This program will not only shape the youth but also prepare them to take leadership roles in the future. It provides a platform for young people to discover their potential, connect with mentors, and embrace a mindset of determination and resilience,” Dr. Appoh Mensah said.

He further advised young people to take advantage of the opportunities presented through such national initiatives, noting that their active participation in development activities is critical for the progress of Ghana.

“The youth must believe in themselves and reject the mindset of impossibility. With hard work, prayer, and the right guidance, they can achieve great things. The future of this country rests on their shoulders, and they must rise to the occasion,” he added.

Dr. Appoh Mensah also commended the National Youth Authority for organising the two-day event and encouraged the government to sustain similar initiatives to consistently engage, empower, and inspire young people across the country.

The conference brought together thousands of participants from different regions of Ghana, featuring panel discussions, motivational addresses, and interactive sessions aimed at equipping the youth with tools to overcome challenges and contribute meaningfully to national development.
