YEA Signs MoU with Weave Ghana to Train and Recruit 2,000 Youth
In a significant boost to youth employment efforts in Ghana, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Malik Basintale, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Weave Ghana Limited to train and recruit 2,000 Ghanaian youth into sustainable jobs.

In a significant boost to youth employment efforts in Ghana, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Malik Basintale, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Weave Ghana Limited to train and recruit 2,000 Ghanaian youth into sustainable jobs.
The partnership, aims to equip selected young people with practical skills in textile and hair product manufacturing, as well as other related production lines within Weave Ghana's growing operations.
According to YEA CEO Malik Basintale, the agreement reflects the agency’s unwavering commitment to its “Jobs For All” agenda and to creating meaningful pathways for the youth to secure decent employment.
“This MoU with Weave Ghana marks another strategic milestone in our efforts to build productive partnerships with the private sector. It is a strong statement that we are serious about bridging the gap between training and employment,” Basintale said.
The CEO of Weave Ghana Limited also expressed confidence in the partnership, noting that the company is ready to absorb the trained youth and help them build long-term careers in the manufacturing and beauty industries.
The training and recruitment will span across key regions, targeting unemployed and underemployed youth, with particular emphasis on women and persons in vulnerable communities.
