Tragedy Strikes Near Airport Terminal 3: One Dead, Others Rescued in Building Collapse

 A tragic incident unfolded near Airport Terminal 3 when a building under construction suddenly collapsed, leaving one dead and several others injured. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) led an intensive rescue mission that lasted over seven hours.

According to officials, seven individuals were at the site when the structure gave way. Quick-thinking members of the public managed to rescue three victims before emergency teams arrived. GNFS crews, working tirelessly alongside other agencies, site workers, and management, extricated two more people trapped under the debris. Sadly, two additional victims were later retrieved, one of whom succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

The GNFS praised the swift collaboration that helped minimize further casualties, while expressing condolences to the bereaved family. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collapse.

Authorities have assured the public of their commitment to ensuring safety at construction sites to prevent similar tragedies.
