The people of Gomoa East District warmly welcomed the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, as he joined dignitaries and youth leaders at the 2025 National Youth Conference held at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh.
The two-day event, which ran from September 4th to 5th under the theme “Igniting Potential, Inspiring Change,” brought together young people from across Ghana to engage in discussions aimed at empowering the youth to overcome limitations, unlock their potential, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
Hon. Julius Debrah, delivering the keynote address, encouraged participants to embrace what he described as the “I will, I can” spirit, emphasizing that success requires determination, prayer, and perseverance. He reminded the youth of the importance of what he termed the “God factor” in their journey, urging them to remain resilient despite challenges.
The conference also attracted key personalities from Gomoa East and beyond. Among them were Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, former NDC parliamentary aspirant for Gomoa East; Hon. Margret Naana Ackom, District Chief Executive for Gomoa East; and Hon. Mike Derry, Central Region Organizer of the NDC. Their presence highlighted the district’s strong support for youth development initiatives and its commitment to national progress.
The event was organised by the National Youth Authority (NYA) in collaboration with partner institutions and featured motivational speeches, panel discussions, and youth empowerment activities.
With Gomoa Fetteh serving as host, the conference not only provided a platform for youth inspiration but also showcased the district’s hospitality and readiness to support national programs that promote development and unity.
