Investigation Board Begins Probe into Z-9 Helicopter Crash
The Ministry of Defence has announced the official commencement of work by the Investigation Board tasked with probing the recent Z-9 military helicopter crash.

The Ministry of Defence has announced the official commencement of work by the Investigation Board tasked with probing the recent Z-9 military helicopter crash.
Chaired by the National Security Coordinator, the Board comprises representatives from the Ghana Air Force, the Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), and is receiving technical support from investigators with the U.S. Air Force.
According to the Ministry, a preliminary team formed immediately after the crash on August 6 has already submitted its initial findings to the Board, setting the stage for a comprehensive inquiry.
The Board has been given a 30-day mandate to complete its investigation and submit a detailed report aimed at uncovering the causes of the crash and recommending measures to prevent future incidents.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and aviation safety and assured the public that all findings will be handled with the highest level of professionalism.
