Interior Minister Swears In 15-Member NADMO Governing Council
Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak has sworn in a 15-member NADMO Governing Council, chaired by Samuel Atta Mills, to enhance coordination and support disaster management efforts.

The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has officially sworn in a new 15-member Governing Council for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) at a ceremony held at the Ministry of the Interior.
In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the critical role of the Council in steering NADMO’s strategic direction and enhancing coordination with key stakeholders. “The President expects this Council to strengthen the coordination between NADMO and other relevant agencies, including the security services, local government structures, and international bodies,” Hon. Muntaka stated.
The newly appointed Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, expressed his gratitude for the appointment and pledged to foster collaborative leadership. “I am committed to working and collaborating with members of the board and all stakeholders to ensure our systems are responsive, proactive, and professional,” he said.
The Council is expected to play a pivotal role in guiding NADMO's disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts across the country.
