The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has called on newly graduated recruits of the Ghana Immigration Service to exhibit unwavering integrity, professionalism, and discipline in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking at a colourful Passing-Out Parade held at the Immigration Service Training School in Assin Fosu, Hon. Muntaka commended the recruits for successfully completing six months of intensive para-military training. He praised their discipline and commitment throughout the programme and urged them to maintain the same standards as they step into their roles as frontliners of Ghana’s border security.
"The Ghana Immigration Service plays a pivotal role in safeguarding our borders and ensuring national security. As such, your actions must reflect the highest levels of integrity and professionalism," the Minister said.
He further advised the recruits to resist corruption and unethical conduct, stressing that the image and effectiveness of the Service depend heavily on the conduct of its personnel.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Interior Ministry, top brass of the Immigration Service, traditional leaders, and families of the graduates. It featured a display of drill skills and a march-past by the graduating recruits.
The Ghana Immigration Service continues to play a central role in managing migration and maintaining peace and order at the country’s entry points.
