The arrests come after one of the suspects, Akwasi Abban, was apprehended by vigilant workers during the foiled attempt. Upon his arrest, Abban reportedly confessed to providing critical information about the site to the robbery syndicate.
According to police reports, Abban revealed to the site foreman, Ebenezer Soore, that he had been working with a gang of accomplices to target the miners. The three were picked up on 2nd June 2025 and have since been remanded into police custody after appearing before a court.
