Former Ghanaian boxing icon Bukom Banku has advised upcoming boxers to steer clear of harmful lifestyles such as excessive drinking, smoking, and womanizing if they hope to become world champions.

Speaking passionately, the veteran boxer emphasized discipline and focus as key ingredients to success in the ring. He also made a heartfelt appeal to Sharraf Mahama, son of President John Mahama, urging him to sustain his support for Ghanaian boxing through promotion and sponsorship.

Bukom Banku acknowledged the positive impact Sharraf’s backing could have on grooming young talent and raising the profile of boxing in Ghana.
