Renowned clergyman and founder of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has called on the President to establish a National Development Agenda that transcends political cycles and serves as a long-term vision for Ghana’s future.
Speaking during Republic Day observations, the Archbishop urged the President to lead efforts in crafting a comprehensive and enduring framework that would guide national development across successive governments, regardless of political affiliation.
“This agenda must not be about party politics. It should be a blueprint for the nation’s progress one that ensures continuity, stability, and prosperity for generations yet unborn,” he emphasized.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams believes that such a bold initiative would not only unify the nation but also cement the legacy of the current leadership by laying the foundation for sustainable development.
His call comes at a time when many Ghanaians have expressed concerns over the lack of continuity in national projects and the frequent changes in development priorities with each change in government. The proposed agenda, he said, would help eliminate this cycle and drive consistent progress.
Stakeholders across political, religious, and civil society groups are being encouraged to support the initiative and contribute to shaping a shared national vision that will stand the test of time.
