“My Heart is Broken Beyond Words” – Sam George Reacts to Tragic Helicopter Crash
Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Ghana Air Force helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians, including senior government officials and public servants.

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Ghana Air Force helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians, including senior government officials and public servants.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the outspoken legislator wrote:
“My heart is broken in ways words cannot begin to express.”
The crash, which occurred earlier today, has plunged the nation into mourning, with condolences pouring in from across the political divide and the general public. Among the victims were Hon. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, former Minister of Communications; Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry; and other national officers who were on official duty at the time.
President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang have both declared a period of national mourning, describing the incident as “a monumental loss to the state.”
Sam George, known for his passionate advocacy and close ties to several of the victims, joins a growing list of political figures, civil society groups, and ordinary citizens who have publicly shared their grief and solidarity with the bereaved families.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are currently underway, led by the Ghana Armed Forces in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority.
