World Peace Advocates Call on Speaker Bagbin to Promote National Stability
World Peace Advocates, led by Bishop Samuel Ben Owusu, met Speaker Alban Bagbin to promote national peace. They discussed strategies like legal frameworks, peace awards, and integration into governance. Bagbin praised their efforts and assured Parliament’s support.

A delegation from the International Association of World Peace Advocates, led by Bishop Samuel Ben Owusu, has paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to discuss strategies for enhancing peace and stability in Ghana.
During the meeting, held in Parliament House, the group emphasized the need to strengthen peace advocacy through structured platforms, integration into national governance systems, legal frameworks, and the possible introduction of National Peace and Tolerance Index Awards to recognize institutions that promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
The visit also served as an opportunity to commend the Speaker for his exceptional leadership in the 8th and 9th Parliaments and his continued efforts in upholding national unity and development.
Clerk to Parliament, Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, stated that achieving peace requires deliberate sacrifices and sustained effort from all sectors of society.
In his response, Speaker Bagbin welcomed the delegation, praised their commitment to peace advocacy, and stressed the importance of achieving peace through justice and solidarity. He emphasized the need to reject bullying and promote fairness in all areas of national life.
The Speaker assured the association of Parliament's support in fostering peace and sustainable development across the country.
