Teachers’ Fund Increases Personal Loan Ceiling to GH₵40,000 Effective September

The Teachers’ Fund of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has announced an upward review of its Personal Loan Facility ceiling from GH₵35,000 to GH₵40,000, effective September 1, 2025.

In a circular signed by Chief Executive Officer Foster Buabeng and Chief Operations Officer Alfred Dela Agudetse, the Fund indicated that the adjustment is aimed at providing members with greater access to credit to meet personal financial needs.

According to the statement, the duration for repayment of the Personal Loan remains at 48 months, while all other loan products and their limits remain unchanged. The current ceilings for the other facilities are: Investment Capital Loan – GH₵50,000 (60 months), Habitat Loan – GH₵60,000 (60 months), and Vehicle Loan – GH₵70,000 (up to 84 months).

The Fund urged all regional and district secretaries to disseminate the information to members within their jurisdictions and encouraged teachers to contact the Teachers’ Fund Secretariat for further details.

The Teachers’ Fund, headquartered at North Ridge in Accra, serves as a financial support mechanism for GNAT members, providing loan facilities and investment opportunities.
