President Mahama Arrives in Singapore to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Boost Investment Opportunities
President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Singapore for a three-day State Visit aimed at deepening Ghana–Singapore relations and advancing cooperation in strategic sectors including trade, education, innovation, and the digital economy.

President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Singapore for a three-day State Visit aimed at deepening Ghana–Singapore relations and advancing cooperation in strategic sectors including trade, education, innovation, and the digital economy.
The visit, which began today, was officially announced by Minister of State for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who described the trip as a major step in strengthening partnerships in trade and investment, urban development, agribusiness, science and innovation, and education.
Upon arrival, President Mahama highlighted the mutual vision shared by both nations:
“Ghana and Singapore share a forward-looking outlook anchored in innovation, skills, and enterprise. This visit will translate our shared values into practical cooperation—bringing Singaporean investment and know-how into Ghana’s priority sectors while opening new pathways for Ghanaian businesses across Southeast Asia.”

During his stay, President Mahama will hold bilateral talks with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, focusing on deepening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
A major highlight of the visit will be President Mahama's keynote address at the 8th Africa–Singapore Business Forum (ASBF), where he will promote Ghana as a gateway to African markets and an emerging hub for innovation and investment. He will also headline a Ghana-focused Investment and Business Forum, expected to draw a broad network of Singaporean and African business leaders and policymakers.
The visit underscores Ghana’s commitment to diversifying its international partnerships and attracting strategic investments to fuel national development.
