PassionAir Addresses Turbulence Incident on Kumasi-Accra Flight

PassionAir has issued a public statement following an incident involving moderate turbulence on Flight OP 149 from Kumasi to Accra on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Passengers onboard reportedly experienced discomfort during the flight due to unstable weather conditions.

In a press release issued on Sunday, June 15, the airline expressed sincere apologies to affected passengers and attributed the incident to the ongoing rainy season, which is known for bringing unpredictable weather patterns such as storms, heavy rain, and strong high-altitude winds.
