The Nyanyano D/A A&B Junior High School has held its maiden graduation ceremony with a call on students to remain disciplined and focused as they await their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results.
The colorful ceremony, held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the school’s premises, was on the theme “The Root of Education is Bitter, But the Fruit is Sweet.” It brought together parents, teachers, traditional leaders, and community members to celebrate the achievements of the first graduating batch of the school.
Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, a former Parliamentary Aspirant for the Gomoa East Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), congratulated the graduates for their hard work and perseverance throughout their junior high education.
Dr. Mensah admonished the students to avoid engaging in social vices such as drug abuse and negative peer influence while awaiting their results. He also encouraged them to aspire for higher education and become positive change-makers in society.
“Education may seem challenging now, but its rewards are endless. I urge you to stay focused, be respectful, and continue striving for excellence as you move to the next level of your academic journey,” Dr. Mensah said.
The Headteacher of the school expressed gratitude to the teaching staff, parents, and stakeholders whose support made the graduation possible. She also appealed for continued assistance to improve the school’s infrastructure and learning materials to enhance teaching and learning.
Parents and community members commended the organizers for the successful event and pledged their support toward the school’s future endeavors.
