The National Identification Authority (NIA) is appealing to the general public to assist in returning lost or damaged Ghana Cards to their rightful owners.
In a public notice issued this week, the Authority emphasized the importance of the Ghana Card as a critical national identification document and called on individuals who may find misplaced cards to promptly return them to the appropriate channels.
According to the NIA, any lost or damaged Ghana Card can be handed over to the nearest Police Station or any NIA office across the country. Additionally, the public can call the NIA Contact Centre on 0549889525 to report or inquire about found cards.
For further assistance, the NIA has provided multiple hotlines 0302999306, 0302999307, and 0302999309 and can also be reached via email at info@nia.gov.gh. Updates and more information are available on the Authority’s official website (www.nia.gov.gh) and social media platforms (@officialniagh).
The NIA’s appeal is part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard the integrity of the national identification system and ensure that all Ghanaians retain access to their vital personal documents.
