The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared its full support for the upcoming National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, an event aimed at uniting Ghanaians in reflection and gratitude.
During a stakeholder engagement with the event’s planning committee, NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, highlighted the importance of the initiative and used the platform to sound a caution about the growing role of money in Ghana’s politics.
He warned that unless the nation takes time to reflect on its core values, the corrosive influence of money could further undermine democracy and national unity.
“We must pause and reflect on what really matters before it’s too late,” Asiedu Nketia urged, calling on all political actors and citizens to recommit to integrity and service.
The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving has been welcomed by various stakeholders as a timely and unifying national event.
