Gender Minister Explores Partnership with CLCD to Boost Child Protection Efforts

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, PhD, has engaged with the Centre for Learning and Childhood Development (CLCD) to explore partnership opportunities aimed at strengthening child protection initiatives in Ghana.
During the engagement, Dr. Lartey acknowledged the CLCD’s unwavering commitment to improving childhood development and learning outcomes, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized children. She commended the organization for its role in advancing inclusive education and supporting the welfare of children across the country.
The discussions focused on potential collaborations in key areas such as policy implementation, data collection on child welfare, and the development of inclusive learning interventions. According to the Minister, such partnerships are crucial in safeguarding the rights of children and ensuring that no child is left behind in national development efforts.
The meeting, which forms part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to work closely with civil society and development partners, is expected to pave the way for concrete actions to promote child welfare and protection nationwide.
