Former Gomoa East Parliamentary Aspirant Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah Joins NDC Gomoa East to Mourn with Comrade Rev. Aketa Bamaya

The Gomoa East branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has come together in a spirit of solidarity and compassion to celebrate the life of the late Obaapanyin Hannah Aketa, beloved mother of Comrade Rev. Aketa Bamaya, an executive member of the Nyanyano Kakraba Beatrice “B” Branch.

The solemn yet heartwarming funeral arrangements began on Friday, 8th August 2025, with a wake-keeping at Kasoa Newtown, drawing family members, friends, community leaders, and party faithful to pay their last respects. On Saturday morning, the burial service was held, followed by a thanksgiving service on Sunday, 10th August 2025, at the Christ For The World Mission, Ghana, in Kasoa Newtown.

In a demonstration of unity and shared grief, Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, a former parliamentary aspirant for the Gomoa East Constituency, was present to support Comrade Rev. Aketa and the bereaved family. His attendance was described by many as a heartfelt gesture of empathy and a reaffirmation of the NDC’s value of comradeship.

Speaking briefly at the gathering, party members expressed their condolences and encouraged the family to take solace in the hope of the resurrection. “We stand with you in this difficult time, Comrade Rev. Aketa. The NDC family mourns with you, and we will continue to uphold the bond that keeps us united,” Dr. Emmanuel  said.

The event was not just a farewell to a cherished mother, but also a reminder of the deep ties that bind the NDC community in both joy and sorrow. As the notice from the NDC Gomoa East branch poignantly concluded, “I will see you when you see me.”
