The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise scheduled to begin on Monday, June 16, 2025, and end on Friday, June 27, 2025.
In a public announcement issued on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, ECG stated that the exercise would target all categories of customers who owe the company, including residential, commercial, industrial customers, as well as Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
According to ECG, the exercise is aimed at retrieving outstanding arrears and improving revenue collection across the country. Special monitoring teams will be deployed to ensure the smooth execution of the exercise. These teams have been mandated to apprehend and prosecute anyone who interferes with the process or illegally reconnects power after disconnection.
The company has urged all defaulting customers to settle their outstanding bills immediately to avoid disconnection and the additional cost of reconnection fees.
Customers are encouraged to make payments through their regular channels, including the ECG Mobile App, which is available on the Google Play Store, or by contacting the ECG customer centre on 0302 611 611 for assistance.
ECG emphasized that the cooperation of customers is crucial to helping the company provide better and more reliable services.
