Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah, a respected figure in the Gomoa East Constituency, has paid a heartfelt visit to Hon. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, Member of Parliament for Agona East, to express his condolences following the passing of her beloved husband.
The solemn visit took place at the MP’s residence, where Dr. Appoh Mensah joined family members, friends, and sympathizers who have been mourning the loss of a man described as a pillar of support behind the veteran lawmaker’s political and personal journey.
Hon. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, affectionately known as “Obaatanpa,” is one of Ghana’s most dedicated and compassionate female legislators. She has served multiple terms in Parliament and is widely admired for her philanthropic work and advocacy for women and children. Her late husband was known to be a source of unwavering support, quietly encouraging her commitment to public service and the development of the Agona East Constituency.
