Founder and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has responded fiercely through prayer to what he describes as false and distasteful comments made against him.
The charismatic church leader, known for his powerful declarations, was visibly displeased as he addressed recent allegations suggesting that he had conspired with a group of bishops to spiritually back a supposed third-term bid for President John Dramani Mahama.
In a spirited church service, Archbishop Duncan-Williams did not mince words, calling down divine judgment on the unnamed individual behind the claims.
He dismissed the allegations as not only baseless but also an attack on the integrity of the Church.
He further warned the public against tolerating such dangerous misinformation, which he believes is aimed at sowing division and undermining the credibility of religious leadership in Ghana.
The controversial claim had circulated online earlier in the week, suggesting that a group of influential clergymen, allegedly led by Duncan-Williams, had held secret prayers in support of a supposed third-term ambition for President Mahama a notion that contradicts Ghana’s constitutional two-term limit for presidents. According to the supposed person, Archbishop Duncan-Williams gathered 25 bishops and gave them 10,000 dollors to pray for President Mahama to secure another term in office.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams urged his followers to remain prayerful and vigilant, stating that the Church will not be dragged into partisan propaganda or political scheming.
