National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two government ministers and six others on Wednesday.
In an emotional statement, Gyamfi questioned how such a monumental tragedy could occur and described himself as “completely shattered.”
“How could this monumental tragedy have happened? Why did it happen? What is this? How can we make sense of this? Completely shattered,” he wrote.
Drawing from scripture, Gyamfi reflected on the brevity of life, urging Ghanaians to live wisely in the face of life’s uncertainties.
“Our life in this world is but a walking shadow. So teach us to number our days, Lord, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom,” he added.
He concluded with a farewell message to the victims, praying for their eternal rest.
“Fare thee well, our fallen patriots. Rest in peace in the bosom of your maker. May we surely meet again at the Lord’s feet.”
