A massive fire outbreak has swept through Sansama Junction, a busy commercial area in Techiman, leaving widespread destruction and grief in its aftermath.

The inferno, which occurred under unclear circumstances, razed multiple shops to the ground, destroying valuable goods and severely impacting local businesses. Eyewitnesses say the fire broke out unexpectedly, spreading rapidly before any effective intervention could be mounted.

Local radio station Gaskiya 105.5 FM was among the first to report the incident, detailing the extent of devastation and the emotional toll on residents and traders. Many shop owners are said to have lost their entire means of livelihood.

Emergency responders, including personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, were called to the scene but faced challenges in containing the blaze due to its intensity and the proximity of the shops.

The cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations are yet to be concluded.

Community members and affected persons are calling on authorities for swift action, including support for those who have suffered losses and measures to prevent future occurrences.
