Swift Action by GNFS Contains Koforidua Zongo Fire, No Casualties Reported

Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Koforidua swiftly contained a fire outbreak at Koforidua Zongo on Monday, June 23, 2025, preventing greater destruction and saving lives.
A team led by ADO II Yenli responded promptly to a distress call, arriving at the scene to find a blaze engulfing a chamber and hall and partially affecting a three-bedroom apartment. The crew worked efficiently to bring the fire under control and fully extinguish it within a short period.
The fire caused extensive damage to the chamber and hall, destroying furniture, appliances, and other household items. One room in the three-bedroom apartment sustained partial damage, but the firefighters’ swift intervention saved the remaining structure.
No injuries or casualties were recorded. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
