A storey building at London Bridge in Cape Coast collapsed last night following heavy rains, trapping several individuals beneath the rubble. The incident, which occurred during the downpour, has left residents in shock as rescue operations continue.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and the Ghana Police Service swiftly responded to the scene. They are working tirelessly to rescue those trapped and provide assistance to affected families.
Authorities have urged residents to stay clear of the area to allow emergency teams to carry out their operations safely. The extent of casualties or injuries is yet to be confirmed as the rescue mission continues.
