Patrick Yaw Boamah Criticizes NPP Flagbearer Race, Calls for Party Rebuilding First
Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah has criticized the NPP’s decision to choose a flagbearer before addressing internal party issues. He urged the party to focus on rebuilding and making itself attractive to voters, and questioned what meaningful message flagbearer hopefuls can offer if the party’s challenges remain unresolved.

Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah, has openly expressed concern over the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) current approach of selecting a flagbearer before addressing the party’s internal challenges.
Speaking in an interview, Boamah emphasized that the NPP must focus on rebuilding, healing divisions, and revitalizing its structures to regain the confidence of Ghanaians ahead of the next general election.
“We must first rebuild and make the party attractive before thinking of who leads us. What message will these aspirants give the electorate if the house is not in order?” Boamah questioned, throwing a challenge to those who have already declared their intentions to run for flagbearer.
His comments have sparked debate within NPP circles as the party gears up for a crucial internal contest in the coming months.
