Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari has issued a strong caution to young women, urging them to avoid relationships with so-called “sugar daddies” or sponsors, warning that such choices could lead to regret, infections, and spiritual burdens.
In a passionate message circulating on social media, Nadia advised young ladies to focus on building their future with responsible young men rather than chasing material gifts from older men.
“Sugar daddies will give you gifts, infections, and curses. Forget about these old men called sponsors, and build a future with that brilliant young man who is after you,” she stated, adding that temporary pleasures should not derail long-term goals.
She further highlighted how some individuals contracted HIV in exchange for material items like an iPhone 4, only to see better versions like the iPhone 16 emerge over time. Nadia stressed that sponsors could waste a woman’s youthful years, robbing her of the chance to become a dignified wife.
“There’s more to life than just temporary cash and gifts. Be wise!” she concluded.
Her message has sparked widespread discussions online, with many praising her for using her platform to promote dignity and self-worth among young women.
