NHIA’s Esther Godwyll Dedicates TGMA Award to Authority in Courtesy Visit to CEO

The Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, warmly received a courtesy call from renowned gospel artiste and NHIA staff member, Ms. Judahna Esther Godwyll, following her recent win at the prestigious Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

Ms. Godwyll, who clinched the coveted Best Female Vocal Performer award, dedicated her achievement to the NHIA, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the management for fostering an environment that nurtures talent alongside professional growth.

Accompanied by a delegation from the Claims Processing Center in Accra including Madam Oforiwa Portuphy (Deputy Director of Claims), Mr. Eric Nazar (E-Claims Support Manager), Mr. Godfred Tudzi (Claims Assistant Manager), and Madam Akpene Amedume (Provider and Client Relations Manager), Esther presented her award to Dr. Bampoe as a gesture of gratitude.

“NHIA has played a significant role in shaping both my personal and corporate journey. I’m deeply grateful for the chance to serve while pursuing my passion in gospel music,” she said.

Esther shared that her award-winning song, "I Choose to Praise," was a tribute to her late mentor, celebrated gospel icon Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, known as KODA. “It was inspired by KODA of blessed memory. I didn’t expect it to receive this recognition, but I give all glory to God,” she remarked.

Encouraging aspiring gospel musicians, she urged them to stay true to their purpose. “Gospel music is more than entertainment, it's a ministry of transformation and hope,” she added.

Dr. Bampoe congratulated Esther on her remarkable accomplishment, describing her win as a proud moment for the NHIA. He lauded her for bringing honour to the Authority and urged her to keep using her music to inspire lives.

Esther Godwyll is widely celebrated for her powerful vocals and inspirational message. A worship leader, vocal coach, and music director, she has provided background vocals for top gospel artists in Ghana and internationally. Her singles, including “Jehovah is Your Name” and “Faithful God,” have drawn acclaim for their soul-stirring impact.

She is currently working on her debut album and has previously received nominations from the Praise Achievement Awards, Ghana Music Awards UK, and the iConic Social Media Lifestyle Awards.

At NHIA, she continues to provide significant contributions to the Communications Directorate, balancing excellence in both her professional and artistic callings.
