The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s fintech ecosystem.

This assurance was given during a high-level engagement with the Fintech Association of Ghana at the Ministry's offices. The meeting focused on deepening collaboration between government and industry players to promote innovation and improve financial inclusion.

Hon. George acknowledged the fintech sector as a crucial driver of economic growth and a catalyst for inclusive financial systems. “We are committed to creating a conducive environment for fintech companies to thrive,” he stated. He emphasized the need for enabling policies and infrastructure to support digital innovation in the financial services space.

The Minister also pledged to work with relevant regulatory bodies and stakeholders to streamline compliance processes and reduce bottlenecks that hinder growth in the sector.

Leaders of the Fintech Association expressed appreciation for the government’s engagement and reiterated their readiness to partner with public institutions to drive sustainable growth. Both parties ended the meeting with renewed optimism and a shared vision for an innovative, technology-driven financial future for Ghana.
