The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has stepped up efforts to boost its engagement with Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), as senior officials of the bank stormed Cape Coast on an educational outreach drive.
The initiative, led by the Head of Operations (Coordinator) in charge of MSMEs at ADB, Mr. Joseph M. Abakah, targeted participants of the ongoing Central Expo in Cape Coast, offering insights into the bank’s policies and interventions designed to support small businesses.
Mr. Abakah revealed that ADB has rolled out innovative measures to improve credit access for MSMEs, including increased credit guarantee cover and the introduction of customized financial products such as credit cards tailored for micro-enterprises.
He also emphasized the bank’s commitment to building the capacity of entrepreneurs through training opportunities. “Programs like the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) provide essential skills and knowledge for prospective entrepreneurs,” he explained.
The outreach further highlighted business financing opportunities, management training, development support, and marketing linkages that ADB is making available to MSMEs, reaffirming the bank’s dedication to nurturing Ghana’s growing entrepreneurial sector
