Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah Leads Tributes to Late Chairman Majeed Lateef

In a moving show of grief and solidarity, Dr. Emmanuel Appoh Mensah has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Chairman Majeed Lateef, the respected Branch Chairman of His Divine Grace ‘A’. Chairman Lateef passed away yesterday after a short illness, reportedly while being transferred on referral to the University of Ghana Medical Center for further treatment.

Dr. Mensah, visibly shaken by the loss, described Chairman Lateef as a “dedicated leader, unifier, and committed servant of his people” whose passion for community development and steadfast devotion to his duties left an enduring mark on all who knew him. He stressed that the vacuum created by the Chairman’s passing would be deeply felt, not only by his immediate family but also by colleagues, friends, and the wider community he faithfully served.

Calling on the bereaved family to take solace in his remarkable legacy, Dr. Mensah prayed for divine strength to guide them through this difficult time. “Chairman Lateef leaves behind a legacy of service, humility, and genuine concern for the welfare of others,” he said.

The condolence visit drew the presence of several party executives and comrades who gathered to honor the late leader’s memory. Among them were Mr. Bashiru Bukari, Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Gomoa East; Rev. Bamaya Aketa; Coordinator Nsiedu, Coordinator for Adade Winger Ward; Bro. Joe; Bro. Charles; and other committed members.

The gathering was marked by emotional tributes recalling Chairman Lateef’s tireless work in advancing the branch’s cause and mentoring younger members. The unity displayed at the event served as a reminder of the strong bonds he fostered during his tenure.

As New Town Ward mourns the loss of one of its pillars, members say Chairman Lateef’s life though cut short remains a shining example of selflessness, dedication, and leadership.
