Cedi Holds Steady Against Major Currencies as Interbank Market Closes on Positive Note

The Bank of Ghana has released the official daily exchange rates for Wednesday, June 18, 2025, reflecting the performance of the Ghanaian cedi against major international currencies as of the close of business on Tuesday, June 17.
According to the data, the US dollar is being bought at GH¢10.2949 and sold at GH¢10.3052. The euro is trading at a buying rate of GH¢11.8737 and a selling rate of GH¢11.8863. The British pound sterling also recorded strong figures, with a buying rate of GH¢13.9053 and a selling rate of GH¢13.9212.
These rates represent the average interbank exchange figures used by commercial banks across the country and are a key benchmark for forex transactions in the Ghanaian economy.
The Bank of Ghana continues to monitor global economic conditions and exchange rate developments closely to ensure stability in the local currency market.
