ADB Ghana PLC Marks 60th Anniversary with Health Walk, Celebrates Growth and Innovation

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Agricultural Development Bank Ghana PLC (ADB) hosted a vibrant health walk and social activities at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra, bringing together staff and stakeholders in a show of unity, wellness, and commitment to the bank’s legacy and future.

The event was characterised by high team spirit, as employees and management came together to commemorate six decades of impactful banking services to the Ghanaian economy.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong commended the bank's outstanding performance in the first and second quarters of 2025. He pointed to the establishment of the MSMEs Desk and Women’s Desk, alongside the introduction of innovative products, as key contributors to the bank’s upward trajectory.

Our new tagline, Beyond Banking, is a reflection of our desire to do more than provide financial services. It’s about empowering lives, supporting growth, and transforming communities,” Mr. Sarpong stated, while encouraging staff to embrace teamwork and unity to drive greater productivity.

Also present was Mr. Joseph Mensah Abakah, popularly known as Commander 1, the Coordinator in Charge of MSMEs Banking. His participation symbolized strong leadership support for the bank’s renewed focus on supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, further reinforcing ADB’s mission to shape a resilient and inclusive financial sector.

The 60th anniversary celebration was not only a tribute to ADB's achievements but also a recommitment to its future, a future centered on innovation, inclusion, and excellence.
