The Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, has openly criticized the appointment of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), describing it as a “mistake” by the party.
In a bold statement, Yandoh accused the Special Prosecutor of failing to uphold the rule of law, alleging that the office is being used to protect personal interests rather than ensure justice and accountability.
“He does not operate with the legal professionalism expected of someone in that position. Instead, he acts arbitrarily to secure his own position,” Yandoh asserted during a media engagement.
His remarks have stirred fresh debate over the effectiveness and impartiality of the OSP, an institution originally established to fight corruption and promote transparency in public service. As of now, the Office of the Special Prosecutor has not issued a response to the allegations.
