Government Delegation Presents 24-Hour Economy Policy to Speaker Ahead of July Launch
A government delegation led by the Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy has presented the policy to Speaker Alban Bagbin ahead of its July launch. The meeting aimed to brief Parliament on the policy’s goals, including boosting economic growth, creating jobs, and supporting round-the-clock operations across key sectors.

A government delegation, led by the Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy, has met with the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, to present the much-anticipated 24-Hour Economy policy. The engagement marks a critical step as the government readies itself for the official launch of the programme in July.
The meeting aimed to brief the Speaker and leadership of Parliament on the key pillars, implementation strategies, and expected impact of the policy, which seeks to drive inclusive economic growth, create jobs, and boost productivity through round-the-clock economic activities.
The Presidential Advisor emphasized that the 24-Hour Economy is designed to harness Ghana’s full economic potential, with a focus on sectors such as manufacturing, health, transport, and tourism. The government also hopes to foster partnerships with the private sector, ensure security for night operations, and expand infrastructure to support the initiative.
Speaker Bagbin welcomed the delegation’s presentation and stressed the importance of bipartisan support to ensure the policy's success, highlighting Parliament’s readiness to provide the necessary legislative backing.
The July launch of the 24-Hour Economy programme is expected to be a major milestone in the government’s agenda to create sustainable jobs and reposition Ghana’s economy for accelerated growth.
