Mariama Awudu, the Vice Chairlady for Women in Politics in the Gomoa East Constituency, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Member of Parliament for Jomoro, on her nomination as Deputy Minister for Transport.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Mariama Awudu described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Hon. Toffey’s dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to public service and national development.
“I am extremely proud of Hon. Dorcas Toffey's nomination. She has been a shining example of what women in leadership can achieve when given the opportunity. Her elevation inspires many of us in the political space, especially women,” Mariama said.
She further commended President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence reposed in Hon. Toffey and called on women across the country to rally behind her as she prepares to take on this new responsibility.
