Price of 1oz Gold Coin Surges to GH¢36,480.07 Amid Global Market Fluctuations

The Bank of Ghana has announced the latest pricing for the Ghana Gold Coin on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, reflecting sharp increases across all weight categories in line with international gold market trends.
According to the new rates, the 0.25-ounce coin is now selling at GH¢9,644.49, the 0.50-ounce coin at GH¢18,575.63, and the 1.00-ounce coin at GH¢36,480.07. These prices are benchmarked against the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) PM price, which closed at $3,388.45 per ounce the previous day.
The Ghanaian cedi also closed trading at a rate of 10.3000 to the US dollar on Bloomberg REGN, influencing the conversion of the international gold price into local currency.
This update signals continued investor confidence in gold as a safe-haven asset amid economic uncertainties globally. The Ghana Gold Coin, introduced as a symbol of investment and heritage, continues to draw interest from both collectors and financial strategists.
