Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed strong support for President John Dramani Mahama’s initiative to declare a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, describing it as a visionary step towards national unity and spiritual reflection.
In a goodwill message released to mark the occasion, the former President lauded Mahama’s leadership and praised the idea as one that reflects Ghana’s deep-rooted faith and collective hope for a better future.
“I commend President Mahama for this noble vision. The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving is a powerful reminder of our shared values and the importance of seeking divine guidance as a nation,” Akufo-Addo stated.
The message of unity and mutual respect from the former President was well received by many Ghanaians, especially as the event brought together leaders and citizens from all political, religious, and ethnic backgrounds in a rare moment of national togetherness.
