NDC Officials Took Double Salaries But Nana Addo Spared Them for National Peace – Hon. Onyina Acheampong Alleges
Member of Parliament, Hon. Onyina Acheampong, has alleged that several high-ranking members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) received double salaries during their time in government but were not prosecuted under the former administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Member of Parliament, Hon. Onyina Acheampong, has alleged that several high-ranking members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) received double salaries during their time in government but were not prosecuted under the former administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking in an interview, Hon. Acheampong claimed that the former President made a deliberate decision to avoid legal action against more than 20 top NDC officials in order to maintain national peace and stability.
“There was clear evidence of double salary payments to some NDC appointees, but President Nana Addo chose the path of peace over prosecution,” Acheampong stated, adding that taking such action could have triggered unrest or jeopardized national security.
His comments have stirred renewed debate over past allegations of financial impropriety and whether political expediency often overrides accountability in governance. So far, the NDC has not officially responded to the latest claims.
