Akua Afriyie, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma North Constituency, has firmly declared her intention to contest in the upcoming rerun of elections at nineteen (19) polling stations within the constituency.

In a public statement, Madam Afriyie assured her supporters that her name and face will appear on the ballot paper, debunking widespread rumors suggesting she has stepped down from the race.

"I want to make it categorically clear that I am very much in the contest. Disregard any false claims being circulated by my political opponents. I remain committed to serving the good people of Ablekuma North," she stated.

The rerun comes amid electoral concerns that affected voting in the specified polling stations. The Electoral Commission has scheduled a date for the rerun, which is expected to be keenly contested.

Madam Afriyie called on her supporters to remain resolute and focused, expressing confidence in a decisive victory. She also urged all party faithful to come out in their numbers to vote and ensure the NPP retains the seat in the constituency.
