The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association has called on the Police to fast track investigations into the killing of a registered community health nurse in the Ashanti region.
Investigations are ongoing, while nurses and colleagues of the deceased collaborate with Police to bring the culprits to book.
But, President of the Association, Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo has urged the Police to attach some urgency to the ongoing investigations to get justice for the deceased as soon as possible.
“From what we’re gathering they have a suspect, but they need to do more investigations to come out with their report” she noted in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM.
Ruth Eshun, was found dead at Ayuom, near Sewua in the Bosomtwe district of the Ashanti region.
She was spotted leaving Sewua Health centre where she works at about 3 pm last Monday.
